Synth pop artist Lou Rebecca is Holodeck’s newest pride and joy, and she's ready to make her mark on the industry with her self-titled debut EP. Her soft and charismatic voice and style are instantly endearing and go beyond the basic tropes of the archetypal pop crooner. Currently hailing from Austin by way of Paris, Lousings in both English and her native French on her first single “Fantôme”.

Holodeck is proud to present a special WORLD PREMIERE screening of a video from our newest artist Lou Rebecca! Austin based/Parisian native Lou Rebeccahas mastered the art of sophistication in pop music and has been a huge presence in the local synth scene for several years. Lou’s work occupies the point of harmony between accessibility and technique, meticulously designed with a unique emotional and conceptual palate.

House of Kenzo Joins AMVF After-Party

As the festival winds down for the day, the after-party collects at The North Doorfor the Holodeck Showcase. Troller starts off the party with a DJ set, followed by live performances from Lou Rebecca and Samantha Glass. Video projections and light show will be brought to you by Jenni Kaye of Hyperreal Film Club.

San Antonio dance/performance art/music collective House of Kenzo (who starred in Dylan Cameron’s video for “Difficult Floor” earlier this year) will be live on stage to close the night out with a special performance and collaboration with Dylan Cameron (DJ).

Sungod’s Michael C. Sharp Debuts New Solo Album

Austin based multi-instrumentalist Michael C. Sharp is one of the main creative forces behind psych/kraut-rock collective Sungod. However, after eight years and multiple LPs playing drums, guitar and synth in a band setting, Michael is delighted to bring you his new solo album Never Enough Time. Heavily influenced by artists like Sun Ra, John Fahey and Manuel Göttsching, Michael C. Sharp’s self-titled solo work is a a classic mix of effects driven ambient tones, analog sequences and layers of echo drenched guitar leads. His new cassette Never Enough Timecomes out October 20, 2017 on Holodeck Records.

S U R V I V E Plays Panorama NYC

Road life marches onward for our boys of S U R V I V E. As a part of their epic takeover of the summer festival circuit, the band flies to New York this weekend for Panorama Fest. NYC's biggest summer festival is going down this weekend (July 28th - 30th) at Randall's Island Park.

Nine Inch Nails, Tame Imapala and Solange are just some of the huge names S U R V I V E will be sharing the stage with this weekend. Catch their performance Saturday July 29th on the Pavilion Stage at 5:30 right before Belle and Sebastion. Click HERE for tickets and full shcedule.

VVV Announces LP with a New Video for "Spellbound"

Austin based ambient electronic producer VVV (aka Shawhin Izaddoost), returns to Holodeck with his second full-length album Shadow World, out October 6th, 2017. Following a wave of hype from his early 2017 cassette Why El Paso Sky, Izaddoost is back with his signature style of half-time swing rhythms and dense, atmospheric soundscapes. After several cassettes, EPs, and compilation appearances, VVV’s long awaited follow up to 2011’s Across the Sea (Fortified Audio) is here.

Shawhin teamed up with director Jake Eide to make a gorgeous video for the first single "Spellbound". Filmed in downtown Austin, the video is set against a gritty backdrop of seedy urban decay. Eide toys with the audience's perspective on the protagonist/antagonist relationship of the two lead female characters as they wind through city's underbelly to a dark and haunting climax.

S U R V I V E & Goose Island Team Up for Pitchfork Festival

S U R V I V E is back on the road continuing their epic run summer festivals. This weekend they're in Chicago for the city's largest outdoor event of the year, Pitchfork Festival. This massive three day event features huge headliners like LCD Soundsystem, A Tribe Called Quest, and Solange (click HERE for full schedule and tickets), but for S U R V I V E this weekend is all about the beer.

S U R V I V E has partnered with Goose Island to make GI5-5538, a delicious crimson ale that is the official beer of Pitchfork Festival 2017. This seasonal brew is light and refreshing with hints of grapefruit, and it's only available for a limited time in the Chicago area. Drink up!

Troller is Back with a New Music Video for "Nothing"

Last year Troller released their critically acclaimed sophomore album Graphic and followed with several handsome music videos ("Sundowner" "Not Here" and "Storm Maker" among others). Continuing their ambitious quest to make a video for every song on the record, Troller once again teamed up with director Melissa Cha to head their largest video project yet.

"Nothing" is Troller's latest attempt at cinematic art. This dark and ritualistic narrative unfolds a morbid cycle of life and death that takes place in its own hyper-stylized world. "Nothing" is Cha's third video collaboration with Troller and plays more like an intense short film.

Troller Hits the Road Again

It's been too long since Troller toured the west coast! The band did several trips out west in support of their debut self titled album, but they have yet to make the journey from Austin since the release of their sophomore LP Graphic (2016)...until now!
