JAKE SCHROCK
After years spent mastering the rich tones of analog synthesizers, Dallas-based solo hardware producer Jake Schrock’s timeless aesthetic is unbeholden to contemporary trends and appeals to library music collectors and synth-pop fans alike. Born and raised in suburban North Texas, Schrock knew early on that his love for music would become a lifelong endeavor. At the age of 19, Schrock enrolled in sound recording school where he met fellow student Michael Stein, who would later become a member of electronic quartet S U R V I V E and an Emmy award winning composer for the massively successful Stranger Things soundtrack. Schrock and Stein became instant friends and bonded over their mutual love for analog electronics while sharply honing their studio engineering and production skills. The unmistakable charm of vintage instruments inspired Schrock’s penchant for sound design and has become the driving force and signature sound behind his work. After developing his own process in the studio, Schrock emerged with an approach that weaves classic genres with transcendent moods, resulting in a balanced and expressive mix of music with satisfying depth and distinct maturity.
